Recently, my friends who seem not to have any interest over the internet start to ask me about blogging. Their first question was, “what is a blog?” I answered all their questions patiently as I tried to explain each idea and terminology in blogging in the simplest form.

I am posting this article for those mommies out there who do not have any blog yet and are just browsing the internet to relieve boredom. Before I started blogging and writing online, I was a typical mommy who does not know how to use the internet. I do not even have any interest browsing the web. The funny thing is I do not even have any computer at home. Lucky for me, my work deals with computer and internet. My work is my only gateway in these two technologies.

What is a blog? Before I discuss on how to start a blog, you need to know first what a blog is. A blog is a personal diary or it can also be a business web space. You can post unlimitedly and your posts can appear in a chronological order. A blog is an interactive personal diary where you have readers and you can allow them to post comments in your shared stories, which creates an interaction. These interactions can establish friendships.

A blog can be your emotional therapy where you can write what you feel, think, and even share your views over something. Some use it as a form of writing practice to develop their skills in a certain language or writing skills. One of the best part of blogging is you have the option to start making money from it.
