Staying Fit While Pregnant

We waited for my little Chesca for about two years after we got married. We were very happy when I found out that I was pregnant. However, it is still unavoidable that I felt insecure about my appearance when I got pregnant. I was worried about the physical changes that will take place on my body on the later stage of my pregnancy.

This feeling is very normal for women who get pregnant. We worry about gaining an excess weight. Do not worry because when you get pregnant or if you just found out that you are pregnant, you can stay fit while being pregnant.

Staying beautiful and fit while pregnant does not have to be difficult during pregnancy. In fact, whether you are pregnant or not depends on you if you want to stay fit and pretty. It is a common notion that pregnant women are unattractive and fat, however, taking care of yourself as nothing to do with pregnancy.

Here are some tips that will help you to stay fit and pretty while pregnant:

Pregnancy does not acquire you a license to eat all you can anytime. Common notion to most pregnant women is to forget their diet and eat a lot. They think they need to eat twice as what they usually eat because there is a baby inside their tummy that needs to be fed. You do not need to double your food intake every meal. You just need to be conscious about what you eat. When I say conscious, I mean the nutritional value that you are getting from the food you eat. Make sure they are nutritious. Eat a healthy diet that includes vegetables, fruits, proteins, and whole grains. Do not eat junk foods because these foods are your ticket to being fat while pregnant.

Keep an active lifestyle. Exercise is very important to pregnant women. There are exercises that are specially recommended for pregnant women. You can walk at least 30 minutes a day. Do not jog or run especially if you have a high risk for miscarriage.

Consult your doctor about the necessary weight that you need to gain. It is a fact that when you get pregnant, you will really gain weight because there is a growing fetus inside your womb. Ask for your doctor about your ideal weight gain on every stage of your pregnancy.
